Secret Restaurant Recipes

 
It all started when we moved from Seattle to Denver... In Seattle my family was addicted to the Claim Jumper restaurant. We loved everything they had on the menu, every one. If you have ever eaten there, then you know what I mean. One of our favorite items to order was the Chocolate Motherlode Cake, not only could one slice feed the entire family, but it is the absolute best chocolate cake in the world. When we moved to Denver it was very upsetting to know that there was not a Claim Jumper here (Update: there is now a Claim Jumper restaurant in Denver!). We mourned for months over the chocolate cake that we could no longer had. Then one day I saw on TV a report about a recipe book that had all the secret restaurant recipes. I immediately went to their website and scoured the list of recipes. Sure enough, they claimed to have the recipe for the Claim Jumper Chocolate Motherlode cake. I bought the recipe book, which was an ebook, read the recipe, and I was off to the grocery store for ingredients. The real books arrived a week later in the mail, but I was able to start using the ebook version immediately. By the time my wife got home, my kids and I had Chocolate Motherlode cake sitting in the middle of the table. My wife was skeptical, but one bite and she knew. “This is THE CAKE! How did you do it?” It turned out that the cake was just the beginning, since then we have enjoyed making many of the meals from this recipe book. Meal like...
